SDGs Impact Developers Conference – Penghu 2026
Transforming Gen Z leaders from advocates into institutional impact developers
10 April – 13 April 2026
National Penghu University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Penghu, Taiwan
Bridging the Gap Between Island Volatility and Institutional Impact
Small islands stand at the frontline of climate volatility, ecological stress, tourism dependency, demographic transition, and energy transformation. While international frameworks such as the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, SDG 14, UNFCCC Ocean & Climate Dialogue, and Regional Seas Conventions continue to evolve, youth-driven institutional impact design remains underdeveloped.
Penghu Microcosm with Global Island Realities
Penghu represents a living microcosm of global island challenges
-
Seasonal tourism reliance
-
Youth outmigration
-
Marine ecosystem stress
-
Energy transition tensions
-
Cultural discontinuity
-
Rising public service costs
These structural dynamics mirror realities across Pacific islands, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, and African coastal communities.
